Dr. Xingwen Chen

As the president of ABCD GIS Mapping, Dr. Xingwen Chen has extensive experience in GIS and geospatial industry. With a background in Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, Dr. Chen started his career as an environmental engineer, and gradually shifted his focus on Geographic Information Systems (GIS). He worked as a GIS programmer, developer, and architect and specializes in enterprise geodatabase design and management. 

Dr. Chen mastered an expert level GIS practitioner in ESRI's ArcGIS platform including but not limited to ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online, and ArcObjects. He is also skilled in Open Source GIS solution such as QGIS or GeoNode, and has been teaching GIS using both ESRI and QGIS platforms at LSU Shreveport since 2013. He is passionate about teaching and introducing GIS technology to many.
